The school has a purpose built kitchen for the students to use in the preparation and cooking of foods.
The students plan, prepare and cook food items, emphasising healthy eating, various cooking techniques, different styles of food and a range of food flavours.
Reading, writing, mathematics, science, co-operative group work, discussing and sharing are all key teaching and learning aspects of this program.
A small charge is made to cover the costs of the food, however fresh seasonal foods are sourced where possible to keep costs to a minimum.
