Place Value - Cup spinners and more!

Today Mrs Heading's students made cup spinners to help them understand ones, tens and thousands.  Some used number fans and houses from our place value street.

MAB helped students to 'make the number' and see how numbers like 124 actually mean:

• 124 ones, or
• 12 tens and 4 ones, or
• 1 hundred, 2 tens and 4 ones.

The children didn't want to go out to play for lunch because we were having such a great time. We love making learning fun at Olinda!
