Students in Mrs Heading's class cooked up a storm in an effort to understand money. After harvesting some amazing veggies from our garden, students discussed the cost of each item and then bought their produce (with play money!) Part of the process was to clean, peel, chop and cook the food for 'sale'. They worked out how much it would cost for a bowl of salad, a vegemite sandwich or cooked corn. Delicious! The students enjoyed this rich, authentic money task.
